In San Miguel de Allende, for Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead), over the week, our group built an altar in Casa Luna, where we were staying.
We had such a wonderful, meaningful time, during Dia de los Muertos, we're planning another retreat for October 2013. Email us firstname.lastname@example.org to be put on the interest list.

Our project for Libro de Ofrendas, in San Miguel de Allende, included 4 days of workshops. One from each of us, Laurie Mika taught the polymer clay tiles for the cover, Lynn Leahy taught reverse glass painting and collage, for inside the altar cover, Helen Shafer Garcia taught paste papers and book binding to create the book, and Jane LaFazio taught Sketching and Watercolor to create small paintings to paste within the book. Here are photos of the students completed project covers.
